<p>Virginity test or pregnancy test (Petekan) is still carried out by the people of Ngadas Village with the aim of preventing and reducing the occurrence of pregnancies outside of marriage. The people of Ngadas Village believe and believe that a person who becomes pregnant outside of a legal or official relationship will have a negative impact on the village and the community, this is the basis for the petekan tradition that is still being adhered to today. This is proven by the enthusiasm of the women from the village of Ngadas to take part in the Petekan agenda which takes place once every three months. Petekan is an effort of social control from Ngadas Village to protect the chastity of the female residents of Ngadas from the dangers of promiscuity and cases of pregnancy out of wedlock.</p>
